me and my mate got out from 1-3 today, used rag as bait and done a bit of spinning we managed to get a nice spot at the end of the pier, unfortunately it soon started filling up with kids and it must have been every five minutes some kid snagging your line after drifting across it from halfway down the pier, by the end it got ridiculous there like ants swarming around you, constantly trying to scrounge gear, bait and your having to keep an eye on your fishing box. ( am not saying there going to nick something but they have no concept of personal space, theres just no need to be that close to someone else gear )
Anyway managed to catch a few undersized whiting and a bloke along from us caught a mackerel, there was a fair bit of undersized fish being caught at the end of the pier, but we decided to call it a day as it looked like it was going to chuck it down and the ants were p*****g us of, i would gladly pay more taxes to keep the schools open all year round.
