blyth pier 7-5-11

decided on a short trip to the pier with my boy this afternoon. Took my spinner along just incase any mackeral were about. It was quite busy on there with plenty of anglers about but unfortunatley a poor 4hrs fishing. My lad was kept amused by catching the crabs but i got nothing on the spinner and was saved the blank by a weaver fish. The weather turned towards the end of our little sesh. Spoke to most people on the way off the pier and it was near enough the same for everyone. The odd small codling , coalie or flatty was all that came in for everyone. Tight lines alan

Well done on not blanking with your weaver,(owt better than nowt lol),i loved it when i was a kid catching crabs keeps you amused for hours

yeah the lad said it was his best time out up to now and he caught a few coalies last time. He just said it was better crack an all that and he liked the crabs. Im sure he'll soon get sick of em ha ha. Good day out tho for him.
