Dug some lovely lug up at boulmer this morning looked forward to a decent nights fishing boy was I wrong! Went onto the pier at half water about 4pm it was totally unfishable to me anyway and waves over the top to wrapped up there and after poppin home for waders and rest tried charlies garden which was holding the bottom but pulling in footballs of weed so wrapped that and settled for the last resort of the pilot jetty at blyth river over high water and managed a codling about 2lb so at least all was not lost! its nights like these that test you but if it was that easy we wouldn't bother I just hope the other lads that were out managed to find somewhere;)

Cheers for the report mate. I was over Seaham way for a meet up but the sea over there was huge so a few of us ended up on South Shields pier just before the 1st gates and i only saw 1 size codling brought in in 5hrs!! Nothing for me but there's always tomorrow:)

i was at charlies garden around 3pm today, tried a few different spots. it was fine until the tide got to a certain point and i was unable to fish anywhere due to the waves trying to wash me down lol

glad you managed a fish ;)

i hung a fish today, it was stuck fast, left it to try and swim out, could feel it knocking away but was stuck. after a while fooking about, i gave it a helping hand hoping the lead would break free, but i lost the rig and leader :(
