blyth pier today

fished blyth pier today with 2 rods 1 baited with rag and the other a spinner. Started really slow with nowt for about an hour and a half. First fish was a launce on the spinner then a new one for me a dragonette on the rag. Then i had another 4 launce in quick succesion on the spinner. And finally i got what i was hoping for. A double shot one decent size coalie and the other ....... Well have a look 40cm aswell. Topped the day off nicely. Nice one, good to see mackerel back at blyth, last year earlyer on it was just good size mackerel to around 2lb till the smaller ones came in later on.

aye sid the coalie was only 2cm short of the macky two good little fighters. Ive weighed the maccy and it was just short of 1 an a half well pleased with that. Never weighed a macky before ha ha its the best ive had like
