I fish off the pier as well but drop some feathers straight down and just inside the mouth of the harbour. You'll catch loads, once your bored of that just do ya normal fishing. At least then you wont blank.

Well the coalies are inside of the harbor about 20 feet out. Caught loads and there getting bigger but still too small.

I find during the mackeral season I hook a lot of mackeral close in at the end, always give the lures a few jigs at the edge before winding up. You're video date at the start seems to have a bit of a timewarp going on ;-)
