Fished blyth pier with the beirn this morning, got all set up for around 06 30am, started off with a 2 hook flapper, first reel in just crabs pair of them, so thought I d cast to the right of blyth pier at the end, pulled up a dab, first time. After that went really quite, but the beirn started shouting as kids do I ve caught one here, went over nd what was it a bloody starfish, poor beirn. After than tide starting coming in, was gettin loads of bites from the flattys, but everytime I reeled them in on way up they were coming off the hook before I could grab them. Last cast beirn reeled in,nothing and I started reeling in felt somthing brung it up nd had round 1lb nd half flounder. Beirn holding my catch in photo
