pop suggest you try the low water hole at meggies burn towards the blyth end. ive had loads of fish from there this year. its just past the farm. if you reach the church going towards blyth from sluice youve gone to far. 2hrs down 2 up best. lug/rag best bait tipped with razor or on ther own. good luck might see you there!

Spot on thats where i think i was ng to fish probs c u there wil get there just before low water. I will be coming from sluice end so thanks for the advice m8

Where would you recommend i park, we normally park at the groyne end of beach and walk all the way down past groynes is it easier to park at the middle toilets at all then walk from there

pop just past the farm park on the path next to the black rubbish bin. this is dead in line the hole and is a much shorter walk than either the toilets or groynes. hope this helps

well done catching fish. drove from tynemouth pier to tyne bridge stopping at all the usual spots and talking to anglers. plenty of small cod in river with occasional better one.

Seems like a few people had a decent weekends fishing. bring on the next good sea.river seems to have fished well for a few weeks now

If anyone wants a few hours of no hassle fishing try the last 2-3 hours of the flood on the river blyth. Just park up and fish from your car. Had loads of whiting and flatties over the last week on mackeral strips ( approx 2 inches long and very thin picks out the better flatties ) many over 1lb. Alot of anglers I have spoke to have struggled on worm but as long as its tipped off i have had no problems. It is always at night when i've fished so would be interesting to know if it has been the same during the day. Also I have only caught in patches after high tide.
