Thinking of goin out tonight to do a bit of whiting bashing at the above.has anyone been catching many. Has anyone got any recomendations of where to go north of the tyne.thanks.

was on blyth pier last night with the light gear we had pleanty decent whiting and loads of good size dabs the whitings seem 2 feed in spells you were getting a few then nothing but dabs then theyd come back on again.

fished cambois from 3am this morn and the pier from 7am, got 5 flatties a starfish and 2 crabs on mussell, squid, macky, peeler and bluey. other lads on there with worms got nowt.
i was there xmas eve in the same conditions when it got dark and had 7 whities so the dark may be you friend!

Ended up fishing blyth peir, very poor and slow night.fished from half 6 till 10 with only a few finiky bites my mate done slightly better with a small whiting and a rockling.only seen 1 other fish caught all night out of a peir totaly full of people.might have better luck next time.
