Hi Sid, I have had a pair of Musto boots for over 12 years now, religiously cleaned and treated after every trip and there have been a few, still as good as new.
The down side I suppose is they are a little more expensive but 12 years and going strong

the muck boots look a canny boot for the price but i have my eyes on the baffin boots as im off to norway next year and these are rated upto minus 30 so will do the trick a little bit on the pricey side but they look spot on

Those Baffin Boots are bit pricey for me. Thinks its between the Mustad and the Sundridge so far it will depend on price.

i wouldnt bother with the hot foot fisher boots as mine and 2 of my mates all leaked in the first couple of months of use

-30 degrees and -47 degrees , must be expecting a cold one this year .
I use these for the boat, use them in winter with an extra pair of socks, they're light and warm..

Very informative thread this to be honest , I have wondered what other lads wear on their feet on the boat , I wear the same pair of shoes every time I go out on the boat , not because they are the most suitable or comfortable , but because the first time I wore them I had a good day ... no , not the superstition either , it's just that they got absolutely caked in cod crap and blood and were totally ruined for any other use , so now they are fishing shoes
