Hi all,

Just after a bit of advice i have just bought a small 14ft boat it does not have fenders. What size fenders are required for this size boat ? And how many will i require. I am new to the small boat scene.

Regards

Gordon

Have a look on ebay for majoni fenders , size 1 will be fine , but why do you need them if you are launching and retrieving from a trailer????

The only time I can envisage using fenders would be, pulling up alongside another boat to talk to them, or waiting at a pontoon to unload any passengers or fish at a boat comp or something.

We had 4 lovely white fenders on our boat but 2 of them were stolen. Grrrr!! Now we just have the one on the front of the boat as its moored head on to prevent it bashing into the wall.

We got a bag full of buoys & fenders from a boat auction, paid about £30-ish and there was about 16+ in the lot. Not bad I thought, they come in handy! :) They are mighty expensive when buying new though!
