Boat fishing - love it. Any ideas?

Firstly hello forum members.
I've just joined up last night as I recently moved up to the north east. I was wondering if any of you keen fisherman could help me out with a little advice. I love to boat fish although I don't have my own boat yet...
So I am keen to get out fishing as much as pos and I wondered if their are any clubs/events/gatherings for boat fishing as all the clubs I can see seem to be coast fishing etc only

Beyond that I know I can just call up a charter and book myself a days rod dangle... Just wondered if anyone knew of any clubs etc... Fishing with other people is more fun of course... And my mates are taking too much convincing to get 12 of us on a boat.

Also..Still havent caught my first double figures fish and this needs to change ASAP!
Cheers all
Daniel

welcome to the site mate,i dont know of any boat fishing clubs but maybe one of the other boat lads know of one! plenty of charters that take names for when theyve got one or two spare spaces to fill the boat though!

Hi Daniel and welcome to the forum :), there aren't any boat clubs that i know of, but now and again you get lads asking if anyone wants to have a day's fishing, most boat owners have thier regular crew, such as me.
Keep in touch with the forum though, you just never know ;) Also where abouts in Tyne and Wear are you from

Hi Daniel and welcome to the forum. Like you I am searching for my first double and from Gateshead :). Only been out on the boats a couple of times this year with fairly poor results but desperate to have another go before the season is over. If you fancy a trip out sometime you are more than welcome to join me and my Dad. We find it difficult to get enough people to fill a charter so just look for spare places ( not easy on weekends during the summer ) Closest boats are probably from Royal Quays on the tyne, Mistress and Sarah JFK both popular charters, only a 10-15 min drive from here and only about 10-15 minutes from there out to sea. Good luck on the double:D

Jonny:)

Fishing trip planned....

Fishing trip planned....

Jonny

nice one for getting in touch, yes I would definitely be up for that...

Actually I could return the favor as I have planned a trip on Sat 1st Oct on 'The Mistress' from Royal Quays (as suggested), 8hr trip out over wrecks hopefully. You and Dad are welcome to join us if you like?

There's five of us (me and 4 mates)... I had a boat full in mind but lot of mates aren't fancying it as I think 10hrs in Whitby a few weeks ago wiped them out or something...odd!

anyways... I am determined to get a boat full for the skipper so more the merrier! On that note... Does any one else fancy a trip out on Sat 1st October? If so get in touch.

Daniel

hi daniel, welcome:exclam: you have hit this site at a hundred m.p.h. mate,6 posts and your organising fashin trips. mint :exclam:

the boat fashin is "baary kiff" roond here, from berwick in the norf, down to whitby in the souf, and mony a port in atween an all.

its been a wee bit quiet lately, but you livened things up a wee bit, weel done the noo.

Hi to the site Danny. Why not book a local charter boat for a spare place, you are sure to make friend's with the other anglers on board.

Welcome to NESA fishing forum Daniel, seems the offers are flooding in allready.
October can be a dry month, but on this latitude, don't hold your breath. The wind is the worst factor in the northeast, and living down in Cheshire, you may not have seen what a northerly wind can do to the sea around this coast:o:o. Good luck in your quest for a doubler.:D Arthur.
