boat!!

I've been out about 6 times over the last 3 weeks, baited hockeyes have taken more fish and bigger fish than shads. Shads still pick a few up but they seem to be slower and only of around 3-4lb.
Obviously this is only my findings and is not gonna be 100% the same for every boat!

been out a couple of times down your way this year, the main killer was hokkai`s baited with cooked prawn, but it changes, good luck m8.

Boat!

Hi cod hunter the shads that has been doing really well are the blue and silver ones. I have had some good doubles on these in the last few weeks.the way I have been rigging them is a quick release with my weight attached and a trace of 2 foot long with the blue and silver shad tied to it. The shad is only 4inch long. Hope this helps.

Hi there lads. I am from Sunderland and up here the 4inch silver and blue shads have been the killers. I have had some good doubles in the last few weeks. My mate also got a 20lb cod on the same tipe and colour shad. Hope this helps and good luck.:)

In my inexperienced opinion, it changes, not only day to day, but hour to hour. This morning baited hokkies/daylites caught Whiting, while I caught 4 Cod to 9lbs in 30 mins on a hollow belly shad.

An hour or so later it was the baited hokkies/daylites that caught Cod, while I caught nowt. Take both and just watch what others on the boat are catching with and change accordingly.
