Took the spinning rod out about 6pm and cycled down to shelves just south of boatis bay. Had an hour and took one coalie on zenith spinner. used a shallow diving lure also but had no takes on that. packed up when it started rain,didnt fancy trying to get my bike etc back up them muddy banks when wet. Enjoyable one hour though.

That was me fishing near johnsons, spinning, I had a small pollock, then took your spot when you left, didn't catch but a pollock of about 4 pound jumped clean out of the water about 15 yards in front of me.

Yeah just goes to show they are there. May have another go tonight after work.

i got a nice bass on frenchies bay on the spinner and a few small pollock.

It's the big bay just around the corner from the old quarry beach, you have trow rocks then target beach then the quarry beach then frenchmans bay

Basically the various marks are know collectivley as the Leas.... the rock marks from the end of south shields big beach towards sunderland.... some decent rock marks....
