This was our biggest cod of the day 9lb 7.3/4 taken from a wreck near Creswell. No sign of the Growler boys there.Plugged away for a few hours taking cod, ling, mackerel, small coalies and lots of whiting.Wind got up from the SW in the afternoon so we moved inshore for a troll. The lures weren't in for 2 minutes when a pollack hit Michaels line, 10lb 11.3/4, and in the next hour we had more around the 5 to 7lb mark. Headed back towards Amble as time was running out, just long enough to try Bondicarr and Richard caught a nice pollack, 8lb 2, whist weaving between the pot dans.That was the comp over and time for the harbour, a good day considering the conditions , and ran into a certain boat outside the piers with the crew posing for a picture! Not a bad result, 3 of us in the top 10, myself 15th but all happy to take part.A big thanks to Norma at amble angling centre and well done to Graham and the lads on Growler.
