i fancy going digging at boulmer, i have been told, theres some places where you cant dig , could anyone show me a map where you can dig, and where you cant?? cheers

Or you can ignore them like some idiots do. Tis hard going at the mo Tony....Starting to get really sloppy as you get further down with the tide as well

Tony and I fished it last week at low water hoping it would be the big secret flounder mark for the Amble Open, we have never seen or have known anybody fish it and it is full of bait, well that was the theory, no more to be said on that. Whilst we fishing two women who had been staying in a local cottage over half term walked south from the boats about two thirds of the way down the shore line and one of them sunk up past her knees and had great trouble getting out, I went to help but she managed to get herself out minus her boots and you can only imagine the mess the poor woman was in. It is very soft in place that have been dug hard over the last year to the point being dangerous. Worms have been hard going to.

I would agree, have fished at low water when too much weed on the beaches. Stand still for too long and you sink. Also spend a lot of time falling down part filled holes.
Funny, I'm still looking for a secret flatty mark for the Amble Open......failed again this year.......Oh well, theres always &etc............

If i never dig boulmer again then it will be too soon, its been hammered and needs time to recover. It doesnt help that there hasnt been a good sea to sort it out aswell, with the protection of the rocks theres no chance that the sand/clarts will settle and fill in the holes.
