Boy Owen - Catch report 30/5/2011

Well we launched from south shields at Stupid o'clock (04:30) and headed off about a mile straight out. Mackerel, Mackeral and more Mackeral but all huge compared to what you see in Morrisons

We decided to hit a few wrecks this time and instantly hit onto..... Mackerel! Oh and I got a herring.

I managed to land 2 cod (below the biggest) from the wreck near the can

Jason as usual decided to go for the less know breed of fish which I'm not too sure what it is.

Then managed to get a nice Granny fish and then a weevler

..... to cut a long story short, 12 hours later we decided to call it a day and Jason fell asleep on the way in so obviously you had to....

All in all another good days fishing

Sound like you had a good day out. Nice report and some great pics. The markings on your cod looks like its been on a griddle

Thats a gurnard by the way not a weever if that is the fish you meant.

Yeah thanks. Only been doing this for a year so still got a shed loads to learn.

Well I must admit we all only got about 2 hours sleep the night before.
