I use the 66lb power pro on my 525 and Saltist Peter and it is top stuff. Have an 80lb mono leader which keeps the business end away from the worst of the rocks.

Attach the leader with a Bimini in the braid and a Slim Beauty in the mono; when really badly snagged I've had the knot in my 80lb rig body go before the leader knot

I'm gonna do a bit of investigation n trail on this as coffee grinders or twangers as I call them do my nap in. Tried it on a beach yr ago on a mag elite and it worked so will very rough ground. Mono leader though.

Twangers are the future!

I barely use my multis now.

I am still very sceptical having tried for myself and fish with a lad who uses them for all ground, the only advantage I can see is you get more gear back and exaggerated bite detection keeps you interested. I can't see how that thin spindal will bully a pig to do so you need a stiff rod, which one way or another will pull the hook from that good sized fish. As it has no give neither has the braid. Can see the advantage of using 30ft floppy sticks and braid distance and the bite detection, but were fishing into really heavy ground in big powerfull seas not the Mediterranean.

hello mate when you say you use a bimini in the braid and slim beauty in the mono do you get a loop inbetween the 2? as i've tried this a few times but seem to be left with the loop inbetween the 2 knots is this ok when casting? it seems strong enough mind

could,nt agree more.

Where do you get your power pro from Peter? I'm trying to source a 455 metre spool of the yellow 66lb but it's rarer than rocking horse poo (though ultimately a 300 metre spool would do)

Not that rare just ordered some braid off ebay and bleak hall has loads of power pro in 500yd spools
