Went to fish Roker Pier last night but it was shut so ended up fishing here from 6.30 till around 2am. I had 9 for approx 12lb, biggest being about 1 3/4lb codling, got all my fish on frozen crab and they all got returned for another day! My 3 mates had fish aswell so no one blanked, cant believe the size of the whiting in the river at the minute, my mate had 4 of them with the biggest being around 1 1/2lb, he took them on rag and bluey. It died off after bottom water and we only had 1 or 2 small codling for the last couple of hours. Cant wait to get back out!
