Brighouse Bay Report

Hi Lads

Just got back from my week in Brighouse Bay. We had soaring temperatures all week and flat calm sea but some fun fishing.

On the rocks out the back of the caravan site it was a doggy a chuck averaging around 1 to 2lb but I did get one beauty of over 3lb. Chucking short seemed to be the best ploy and the best bait by far for me was frozen squid and the bigger bait the better.

Over near Creetown I caught my first (little) bass and also plenty of flounder on crab baits.

All fish returned and seemed to go back safely.

Sorry about the quality of pix, I only had my mobile phone as the missus was in charge of our decent camera.

Thanks again for all the help from this forum.

Thanks Mate, got some top help on where to fish on here and WSF mind.

Been over there a few times with the caravan:o
Its a nice place to fish when the suns out and at high water the rocks near to the beach are a top spinning shot for pollock etc.
Nice report:)

Great report, I am heading over there in August for a weeks camping with the kids so can't wait now. Are any of the rocks productive either side of the sandy bay also are there any flatties in the bay for the kids to have a go at?
