Learnt a new Phrase yesterday...

"A growing Sea"

Apparently not the best sea to fish in....is this always the case?

...certainly wasn't for me and Gregg as we caught nowt (as usual)...tried The Oxfauld for a hour or so...then high tailed it to the Middle Bogs for another hour or so

The sea certainly wasn't flat :o

...next try...Sunday :D

That is a problem with Blyth beach. You can look through the gap at the north end car park and it can be very flat. Drive down to the next car park just a very few hundred yards away and it can be a lot bigger as the north end of the beach gets sheltered from the Cambois pier. This can be very helpful during a big northerly as there are quite a few spaces for anglers between the pipe and the pier. Drive down a bit further to maybe the farm and it can be far too big to fish.

Just using the pipe as a guide, occasionally the cut off point where it will be too rough to fish will be before the pipe.

Jim.

If you go right to the north end to the car park you use for the west pier you will see the pipe straight through the gap onto the beach.

Jim.

Thanks. Was going to give it a go tomorrow night but been invited to a surprise 50th so put it back till Sunday. Hope the conditions are as good but Westerlies forecast.

Westerlies will be what you want after the next few days to kill down the massives seas that will have (hopefully) battered our shores...I'm out sunday so a calmer sea will be ideal for where I want to fish *coughs Whitley* :D

Hope your right but in my humble experience no-one seems to tell the fish that they should be where they're supposed to be

Aaaarrrrggggghhhhh. Just my luck. Can't go out tonight, too hungover still:( Anyone got catch reports/pictures from last night (bet one of those Cod had my name on it!)
