Weather forecast 6mph SW pfffft

Got out quite late today around 10 am with Kingcod Deano, wasnt long before the wind increased and was blowing 15MPH + with Gusts hitting 20's from the NW.
Drifts were almost 2 mph and made holding bottom very difficult, we managed a couple of cod biggest 4lb, 2 x pollack around 1.5 - 2lb and a shed load of mackeral, an abundance of undersize coalies and a red gurnard.
Was nice to get out, but i was a little dissapointed the way the wind was and it definatly spoiled what i thought would be a productive day,

Always next time i suppose.

Yes we found it hard and got a good stamp of fish but not in great numbers, the met did say 18mph west wind today when i checked at 8am but it was from the north for abit

The wind didn't bother me today , it got quite choppy at times and there was one drift when my line was nearly horizontal , but when the fish are feeding the wind seems to feel not quite so bad :).
