took me son fishing on sunday from 1-6.30 off cambois ramp sea was massive
using mussel frozen blacks and ragworm, quite a few people down mainly behind the silos. had nothing till about 3.30 when me son got a cracking bite, reeled it in right to the side then lost it trying to get it over the rocks it looked like a canny codling he was gutted as hes never caught a cod before then at about 5 it was my turn got a small rattle then my rod bounced back against the rest lifted into something a canny weight reeled it in and walked down the ramp. i could see it was a canny fish as i tried to wait for a wave to wash it over the rocks, as i lifted it into a wave i lost it, the sea was too big to beach it right at the bottom of the ramp, coz its slippy as hell. never mind there is always next time. its the first time i have fished there, seems a really good venue will try and get down again when the sea isnt so big:red:

unlucky mate, sounds like a decent spot, where abouts is the ramp at cambois? if anyone could send me a screenshot of it, from google maps, i would be grateful:D as i had a look, but cant see no ramp:confused: that is if there is a ramp, lol

hello mate if you drive into cambois and follow road until you come to a roundabout turn right and follow the railway tracks the road then cuts acroos the rail line on your left you will see some boulders to stop cars going any further and the ramp is just there.
try looking at Live Local Search if you zoom right in you can see the ramp just north of the big silos

Unlucky mate, yous will get them next time!! The rocks directly in front of the ramp is known as the North hole, i caught my first shore caught codling from there many moons ago!!
