Can you catch Wrasse on Isomes?

When I was in Cornwall last week I caught a few wrasse on live ragworm but when I tried using isomes instead I caught nothing. I tried different colours and both L and XL size isomes using the same hook size and rig as the live ragworm. Sometimes left static and sometimes twitched on the bottom. I was thinking of getting some different lures to try maybe Trilobites or do you think I should perservere with the isomes? Anyone like them for wrasse?

Apparently so mate, did you try floating them?

Strange ive caught wrass on isomes infact prob
my go to lure for them.....ibe caught wrass om float
and also drop shot rig aswell just stick with them they
will come good for ya

Wrasse will certainly take isome, it's not my go to lure for them though. I prefer small senkos , bug ants or tubes.

Isomes are the boys for me all day .had some good wrass on them but
every one has difftent opinions

Thanks lads, I still have a few isomes left so I will give them another try next time I'm rock fishing. I must have just been unlucky but I only tried them for an hour so probably not long enough :) Cheers.

When you talk about wrasse taking lures when I used to drift down the side of the cliffs at Port Logan MOG in the 70s I used to catch huge wrasse and pollock on muppets but then again used catch 10 lb cod feathering for mackerel in Port Logan bay but you never seen another boat all day not going to happen now

use drop shot rig m8 let weight hit bottom and shake tip of rod a little and bounce it softley this sends the lure nutty ...you will get wrass;)
