Canny Morning (Sunday 11th) Local Mark

Went out this morning at 7 to a small local mark to fish the morning tide. Wish I'd taken my camera for once - fished 2 rods with rag and lug cocktails and they barely stopped bouncing all morning. Landed 5 small school Bass around 1lb each and lost what looked to be a well in-size one when the trace snapped on the surface. Landed 2 nice size Coalies, biggest just shy of 2lb and also a small flatty.

School bass were feeding amongst the breaking water, seemed to be loads of them around the way the bites were hitting. Great fun.

Mick the bass were well under size bar the one I lost and certainly in a place the netters couldn't impact on. I was surprised at the numbers though, I missed loads of the same bite style until I swapped hooks down in size. Annoyed at the one I lost, it was a nice size from what I briefly saw of it

Lovely morning mind, narked about not taking the camera - got to the point where I so rarely catch owt that I don't bother, and this morning was lush bar a spot of rain. Typical!!!
