carbon metal advice

ive had a crest in the past i no obviously the standard wont be as powerful,but what are these rods like for winter clean to mixed ground fishing ?

nice enuff rods fellah,I got a cme that iv'e had a few yrs now,still does the bizz
Prefer the zzippies tbh,but like I say good rods,can chuck a lead if needed but ideal for clean n mxd ground.Be intresting to see wot the boys think

I've had 2 mk1 crests and loved them both slim blank stiff butt with a bit give in it. Pokey tip which gives the impression of a j curve but decent cast or bigger fish 4 pound upwards bends into a slow C Curve before you give it some stick and it locks up nicely. The mark 2 carbon metal crest i thought was disappointing compared to the mark 1 and would head towards a kompressor S mk2, which I found had a more similar action in the first part of the tip but slightly softer butt and is 2 equal sections uunlike the carbon metal crest which has longer tip to butt section. Just my opinion.
