. . . is the title given to Charles Cloves front page artical in this Saturdays Daily Telegraph \'Weekend\' supliment. Bassed on my area, the river Stour/Orwell. Charles higlights the way sea angling sits, in particular bass fishing. As a whole, Charles says the UK costal economy benefits to the tune of £538 million, contrast this with a slab value of comercialy caught UK fish of les than £50 milion. Participants in angling amounts to 1.5 million, comercial fishing has 11000.

The artical makes imotive reading. with the outlawing of pair trawing inside the 12 mile limit. Lets hope at last, someone is sitting up a taking notice. Comes back to the licence, do we want one? Yes, if we get some action, or is it just anothe stelth tax?

Just paid my yearly Radio licence, so that I can operate, Radar, VHF etc., £20\'ds worth of stealth tax? There are loads of boats who dont have the licence, and just as many who do not have the personal VHF licence either. Not imposible to police, just not enough man power, I have seen a perg on my marina once in 10 years!
