Catch report "Grace" 21st April - hard going

We left the Tyne at 7am into a snotty sea and headed out to the "Geordie" wrecks. Conditions were not very good but it got better as the day progressed although the fish were very scarce. We fished hard all day and covered every wreck as far as Adams Beck but we ended the day with only 4 Cod and 2 Ling. It wouldn't have been so bad if the catch had been spread amongst the crew but big Trevor caught all the Cod and one of the Ling. Am I put out about it? you bet I am!! Never mind, it can only get better and it was nice to be out.

hard going for sure drifter,still the weather was half decent
i know what you mean about 1 person getting most of the fish,its highly irritating

The skipper is always too busy looking after the crew and setting the boat on the right drift. We only get abuse and no appreciation when the fish come aboard to the crew and we’re left fishless.
Well done getting out, it looked lumpy from the shore.
