awfull isnt even the word its the worst days boat fishing i have ever had the lad on my boat (silver surfer) lost a decent fish off on the wreck just about sums the day up just on cleaning mine down for next season now

Did you fish wrecks all day or did you do some bait fishing as well. I saw a few boats just off the pier head at about 10.30, thought there might have been a few fish in that area, do you know if they had much.

just tried my banker wreck had about 10 drifts on it 1 lost decent fish then fished off the tanks with bait and the pier ends the water was like pea soup didnt hear of anything caught seen catch 22 going out with a small party on board dont know if he got into any fish

I'm surprised at that mate, with the beaches doing ok, would have thought bait fishing close in would have been a cert, I had a day off today and thought about going out but my mate was at work so i decided to go and look for a new car.......I blanked on the new car as well........Dont put the boat away yet mate, still uptiding to do.....

i had all the best bait aswell peeler/blacks just couldnt get any fish out i have been looking at thursdays forecast it looks good just need the water to clear up

i fished the wrecks with deano for half a dozen drifts then i went in on the ground and up tided with noting showing, then after the tide turned i decided to try drifting with bait with the same outcome.
we did get a few small coalies, but nothing like the numbers we were seeing a few weeks back.

I was on the catch 22. Seven of us fished on a ten hour trip. We had about a dozen codling, biggest around 4 lb. Loads of good size whities and loads of undersize coalies. The skipper had us all over looking for fish but nowt there. I think thats my gear away until next season. With the northerlies forecast for the weekend the early part of next week might see me at the beech.
