Just bought myself one not using it til the ss open on Sunday was wondering if anyone's got any feed back ov there own it's a lovely looking rod with lots of guts seems perfect for what type of fishing I do (rocks) but wonder how it fairs to my eliminator..

Should you not have asked for feedback before buying it?

Could be a very very expensive mistake. I've tried one and they are nicely balanced for such a long rod. Its very powerful so takes a good technique to get the best out of it. I thought it reminded me of a cross between an eliminator and a ttr but a lot lighter and not tip heay

Personal choice but I prefer Zziplex txls and txl gts

i agree feels nice fast recovery but feels like a zippy all the power in the butt

I had my heart set on one really anyways soni was going to buy it as I love my eliminator but as its just come out I wanted to know if other people like it and an amateurs review with being a new rod not many will have used it

The eliminators aren't the nicest rods to use, very unwieldy and tip heavy, the HPR will be in another class, much more feel. Only thing i was confused by was the butt diameter. I would have thought that with the new resins they could have kept the thinner butt of the eliminator but just stiffened it up. At least now the tip doesn't overpower the butt.

Nice rod's but with most things new time will tell, i suspect a few will be up for sale near xmas when money is tight and the fishing tails off!

a lad i know has one did u get the 14ft 10 or get in choped down?his is 14ft2 they are a nice rod but for 540 i want better than nice lol i like eliminators just a bit to soft in the butt so this might be ideal
