Hi Fella's, spent 5 hours at Chatton wetting a line yesterday and had a good day, there were fish a plenty and it appeared as bloodworm was the main killing pattern. The downside of the day was the terrible wind, most of the fish were caught fishing into the wind and this is very tiring especially for an old fart like me.
I would say most of the fish were in the region of 2 1/2 lb and are fin perfect, one lad caught and released a fish on the 10lb mark.
The owners of this fishery are spot on and are so friendly, there is a cracking lodge and there are rods for hire and a small amount of tackle for sale.
This place in my opinion is going to be a premier fishery as it has everything going for it, there are three new lakes to be made and it is the only place that I know where a licence is not required, the water for the fishery is deemed as Scottish hence no licence.
Didn't get a chance to use my scuds, left them at home by mistake, What a plonker, next time for sure.
Thats it for now guys.
Cheers seddo
