i enjoy watching young ins fishing they are the future of the sport there are a some lads who started fishing on s/shields blyth and fish quay who i was a bit wary of but they are respected anglers now i have had rwo run in with chavs?????? not a plesant time the drink and drugs dont let them see reason i was fishing amble pier a few years ago i was talking to some teens who had one rod between them the jist of the conversation was they come fishing to smoke dope because they can see for miles if the law is coming there is a popular member of nesa who has had at least 3 run ins with them he has asked them politely if they would cast to the left or right as they were casting over him and draging him into snags and they took exeption to this and they kicked of. one one ocasion i have had to pick my rod rest up to defend both of us drink and drugs and fishing dont mix

I agree with you d-a m8 as i disagree with people trying to fish with idiots drinking and crossing our lines and whatever and they are stumbling all over the place and yamering ontalking a lot of nonsense and then they are asking if you have a spare set of daylights and sinkers as they do get on your nerves at times but we do try to help when we can as we dont want their trouble around us but well done to you bringing this to all the anglers who fish during this period while the macky/s about so gud on ya m8.

on another occasion i met a lad on s/s he was all matey i met him when his mother was moving house(i worked for a local council) he was great and friendly after a few bottles of Lambrini the mood changed a few oriental anglers came down they were fishing sportingley putting macci back after they had cought enough for the pot the chavs did not catch any and got nasty with them we told them to calm down that was it they were going to smash everybodys rods the only truble with that if we give them a scotswood smack we get done for assault
