now we talking, right who stocks them, i will heave a brick through the window - you grab 2 :D:D

seriously though, dunno if i could justify spending that on a headlamp, nice output that it has, certainly makes my miners headlight look like a candle lol

petrol northlight and an old modded miners headlamp is my kit, but hey we can dream

though that diamond mite be on my shoppin list

I did not really think much about headlights until last year when i was beach fishing in a compo. Lad next to me had a powerful lamp with the battery pack on his belt. Left my tiddly halogen headlamp looking quite crap.

Also noticed now that i need glasses for reading i need a much brighter light.

I,ll have to check out some.

Mick.

they are great mate that was my first head lamp only bad thing about them is battery life but if you were to get a rechargable battery you would be in the money with one of these babys lol

just ordered one of these bad boys, a grand total of 6 quid deliverd, cant be robbed!

if it lasts 6 sessions i have had my moneys worth

56 LED HEAD LAMP LIGHT TORCH WATERPROOF CAMPING HIKING on eBay, also Torches Lamps, Equipment, Hiking, Sporting Goods (end time 27-Oct-08 20:23:00 GMT)

i got two of this type for my lads, one lasted till he went fishing then failed, the other one slowly lost leds, untill after it lost around 50% of them he heaved it in the mersey one night, not that many leds as you have , around 36 if i remember right, one thing i do remember was a problem was the twist cap that holds the batt carrier in place, hard to undo

I got a similar one as a back up a few years back ,only 10 led's mind you :o ,as that was top spec then haha .
Anyway it's still in my box and I just checked it out of interest and it's still working , I admit I've not used it much ,however they are still the first batteries I put in ,it must be three years at least .......I think

i had a nine led , think it was shakespear one, used as a backup, was good till the batts corroded inside when in my box , all blue salty muck in it , wasnt bad for what it was

I have had my Petzl Myo 5 for the past 3 years. Uses 4 x C batteries. Get 10 hours on the full beam and about 180 hours on the LED's. The handy thing is once the main beam runs out it goes it reserve mode and that means you can fish on witout fear of not being able to get off the rocks safely as there is plenty light on the LED's to fish on!
Had the current set of batteries in for the past few months and had about 8 fishing sessions on them, and two digging sessions on the full beam, and I am only just starting to notice the light drop off on the LED's.
Fished about two weeks ago and was chatting to a lad on the beach (he'd fished near me on the rocks only an hour earlier) and he had to go on the beach as his Tiga had run out of juice. He had barely enough light to bait up.
Know What I'd rather have!
Cost less than a third of the price of the Tiga as well
