Church Bank / Walkway 22/08/11

I was at church bank last night, had 3 decent flounders and my mate, my son and his friend all had flattys so a good evening all round, i had my camera on me and captured this lovely sunset over Wallsend...

After everyone packed up and went home me n jr headed down to the walkway where i got my first decent Codling since starting back up fishing and jr caught a couple of Whiting and i also got an eel, took the Codling home as it swallowed the hook deep, all other fish were returned, good night out...

Yeah it was a lovely night as I mentioned on another post. I had two flatties between 6.00 and 8.30. Glad someone got a photo of that sunset as I didn't have my camera. Couldn't believe how flat the river was, long time since I've seen it like that.

Very stumpy codling that (though in my opinion it doesn't look size...)

Cheers lads, the Codling was size, i dont have a Match rule so took it up to a couple of other lads fishing the walkway and they checked for me and it was well over, it was a chunky but stumpy little thing like and that pic of it is after gutting!
Ps: cheers to the lads on the walkway for there help in showing me how to gut the fish as ive never took one home before that!

Ok bud, just the pic makes it look a tad smaller, but as u say its size .

Av cauggt many stumpy codling with massive heads and tiny bodies but never that shape! .
