Had a ride up Newbiggin this morning , fished from 8-30 till 12-00. Weather was good and the sea had just a little roll. After an hour I took a small codling on crab tipped with squid and that was it , only one more bite but lost it.
Only the second time fished the point and had safety in mind all the time being on my own. I lost 3 wieghts which I thought was good ( Rotten bottoms great) and the fish was pink in colour not red orange as I expected . All in all I enjoyed the time out , couldn't stop longer cos out with the missus later .
