Just returned from an all nighter up scotland expectations were high but with strong swells a lot of marks were hard work. Managed 10 sizeable, best two 6.6lb and 4.6lb, two returned which were lip hooked all better fish caught on circle hook pennel, crab and macky the best combo. Total bag weight around 24lb

I was up friday night. Newtonhill then usan. Only went up to meet the caithness boys or I wouldn't have bothered.

Sea was flat calm. 7 rods in the water for about 6 hours for 2 coalies.

Ended up going to fish town but it was all wrong. Home about 6.30am.

It really is important to check for a little movement and colour before u travel. Its a long way for u N/E guys to go for nothing.

Had to go this weekend cause it was planned. Or I would have stayed in the house

Well done on the fish mate. Good mark that on the right sea and tide.

Cheers Bri

Aye bri I only go up when there is a nice southerly or easterly and have to fit it around work, was still a bit big and the rock marks can be dangerous, I never go up there alone
