me and dave (kela66) went up blyth again last night for the elusive mackeral. on the way there dave decided to drive like a woman, in the wrong lane, nearly crashing into a car and ending up on the central reservation
(sorry mate had to share). finally we got there, just about in one piece lol. there was a fair few on the end so we opted for half way between the bend and the end. we got talking to a lad coming off who said there's a greek on the end that cant cast and had hooked a lad through the face with a spinner among other dangerous things. anyway nowt doing there so we decided to join the chavs and captain dangerous on the end.pretty much straight away we were into fish, first was mackeral, not in any great numbers but we all got some. here's the funny bit, i've fished for 15 years and dave for a couple of years and what a pair of amateurs we looked, dave snapped off a couple of times when casting his spinner:red::red: and i snapped off a couple of spinners:red::red: and had a couple of birds nests while factory fishing with the beachcaster:red::red: resulting in lost daylights. a few times when i was just about to cast my daylights came out of the gemini clip i was using:red::red:. once the sun set all that came in was coalies, hundreds of them, 5 at a time at one point.
i finished with 5 macky, kept 4. and a few coalies. not sure what dave got.
ive since found out keithb was there (i saw you mate but i wasn't sure if it was you as ive only met you once) and also willywetegg, i wish i'd had a bit craic with you's.
all in all a canny evening, a few fish and back home in the car and not the ambulance.
