Fished the ratty for a couple of hours today using a bit of razor, squid and mackie left over from last nights trip to lynemouth.
There must have been 20 rods out when I arrived but managed to find a spot beneath the railings and fired out a clipped 2 hook flapper baited with a little cocktail of the above.
The fishing was nothing special, I caught a few crabs and 2 whiteys of about size but they were very very skinny, certainly not worth taking for the table so they were safely returned.
Chatted to a few others fishing when I arrived and there had been a few pin codling, small flatties and some reasonable whiteys caught but nothing worth getting excited about. Hopefully fishing the flood may bring the lads down there better luck.
Ps.....Roker pier was shut today?!?!!......why oh why I'll never know, the sea was flat calm.
Cheers
