just fished 2 hours down horden lovely sunny day once the fog lifted i used 3 hooks with small bits of frozen blacks tipped of with mackerel i caught 2 decent size dabs and a three bearded rockling.

I was happy with the rockling as I'm trying to catch as many different species as I can this year so far I've caught 5, as for the parking I wouldn't recomend parking at the bottom but today I risked it with the kids being at school and I could see the car from where I was fishing. Can anyone tell me what kind of rockling it could be it was brown with 1 barb on its chin and two small ones on its head I wasn't sure if it was a 3 beard or not thanks.

I'd say Shore Rockling, the 3 Bearded is more of a pink colour with blotches and also tend to be much bigger than the Shore Rockling.

3 Bearded Rockling is the biggest of our resident rockling, The shore Rockling also has 3 beards but is a smaller fish . The 3 bearded has a mainly light coloured body with dark spots and is normally caught over rough ground.
