Planned a trip over west coast to the bay in rascarrel hoping to land a new species me. Fishingmark and outcast Chris
Watched England game then a few hours kip then picked the boys up at 5 and headed over approx 3hrs drive
Weather was a bit cloudy but absolutely red hot when we got to the track there was a barrier across it so we couldn't take car down so asked farmer he told us to park up next to forest and walk threw it it must of been a 2 mile walk blisters , sweating and shattered before we reached our mark
Cheers mark for leading me a pair of socks for me new boots
Lovely scenery and rocks peaceful only us there. Set the big rods up 1 close in with a flapper rig the other further out with a flowing rig hoping for a ray
All of us got cracking bites on our 1st casts resulting in 3 doggies
This was the pattern all day doggies ,doggies and more doggies some nice big ones to must of had 20 between us
Moved further over as the tide pushed us back. Mark caught a nice codling of about a pound
Chris had to dip his feet in the water as it was unbearable
Stopped till 2.30 as we were all shattered and could only see doggies getting caught
There was some lovely wooden lodges with hot tubs outside on the beach front
We decided to walk up the track where the cars were going up must of saved an hours hike threw the woods
Great day with loads of big doggies and a lonely codling but peaceful and clean
