First trip out today lads. 9 of us on Douggies boat. Headed 5 mile out to avoid dirty fresh water but to no avail. Fishing was dire all day. Headed back in and tried mile off again poor. Only about 7 tiddlers caught-not one keeper size. I and half the lads blanked. Called it a day two hours early and came in at 2pm. I was wishing i had gone fly fishing. Never mind though thats fishing for you.
Oh and the sea was massive and i had my first spew of the boat fishing year.

Tight lines Mick. (Now where me fly stuff).

Thought you may of had some luck up that way....it is dire at the moment going from reports, its either a few weeks behind normal or we have a repeat of 2012 all over again.

Doug was saying everything is a month behind with the bad weather we have had. Makes sense really. I,m looking forwards to seeing some mackeral back-and hopefully some decent cod.
Mick.

Good try Mick, even the rubby dubby didn't get them feeding:rolleyes: They usually come "on" off the Tyne before up there, and they ain't on here yet:(

I am like my uncle John when i went out with him on his boat as a kid. He used to put his fingers down his throat as he passed the heugh-spewed-then had a egg and bacon sarnie. Used to laugh his head off. I seem to be the same-won,t give in after spew and still had my sarnies.
