Craster 3rd Feb

Thought I'd get rid of a few more weights so headed to craster and fished low water up (1330-2130).
Had a couple there on Saturday but didn't get a bite this time. There was a fair swell rolling in but the wind had dropped away to next to nothing, I thought if I stuck it out something would be bound to turn up. Bait was lug/mussel. I Lost count how many traces I lost so I'm thinking about giving somewhere different a go next time maybe Cullercoats Friday or around that way.

Thanks for your report and pics do you lose alot of gear there never fished it before thanks

if u fish right behind the harbor wall into the gulli that runs in to the harbor u will not lose much gear ,but by the look from your photos u have been casting into kelp bed ,lots of snags .last time i was up there did not lose 1 trace, had one out 5lb good days fishing
