craster

Hi you can fish both sides off the piers.you can also fish off the rocks on either side of the piers. All good fishing but very very snaggy make sure you use rotten bottoms.

most people head for the deep water shots like the castle or cullernose point.
these would provide comfortable fishing for makeral, pollock etc.

for more productive fishing and better stamp of fish head for the kelpy shots like in front of the piers, the black hole, the playground................ and take crab. Kelp cod the target this time of year at night especially . bull huss and congers have turned up for me in the past.

mind in winter on a good sea on it would be opposite and head for the deeper shots.

all depends hope it helps

fished craster yesterday had afew fish to 2 & 3lb like deans says crab is a must mind i had fish on limpets yesterday what my lads got me off the rocks you could allways mix them with your bait to bulk it out also had codling to 2lb and coailes and a few wrasse over hw at beadnell yesterday.

try right hand side of the 2nd big gully, there is a good flat area of rock for comfortable fishing. i prefer high to low water.
another place i like is past the playing fields to the right of the harbour. there are some rocks that go out to a point. go past playing field through the cut and follow the path, through the turn stile, then follow the path up a slight incline to the top. you will then see where i mean.
parking is ok to, you can use the pay car park on the way in or if you park nicely you can get parked next to the playing field. if you use google map you should see where i mentioned
