Alright guys,
Was aboard the North Star again yesterday 5 Conger caught to 18lb all doubles 2 Thornback to 5lb and a new PB Skate of 98lb for me Had a great day again, the skippers are fantastic on this boat tea, coffee and soup served throughout the day,

It was tagged mate TWICE ? We got 5 Skate last week only 1 wasn't tagged, I personally take nothing to do with tagging

Great fish arnt they, seems to be alot of congar being landed, you using small hooks i.e under size 12/0 or they just getting lucky with the bait.

Bet you keep going back until you land that magic 200lber.

Mine is 191lb but best fight was from a 177lb male, i hope to break my 200lb next year.

The hooks were pretty big mate I'm not sure exact size though (someone else made the traces up) but would say 12/0+ you can make out the hook in the pic still in Skates mouth,
I certainly will be going back mate 200lber would be nice but I'l just hope for a treble figure for now I was a wee bit gutted when it came in 2lb short of the treble lol, it dived then it dived oh and then it dived some more lol brilliant feeling
