Cullernose Point 15/11/06

Fished today at cullernose canny sea on but had nowt but a couple of bites. seen a small fish pulled in at the point but nowt else. Used rag, suid, macky and mussel could'nt get lug. Chucked it down all day but still enjoyable if not a bit damp.

Still full of rubbish there Can't believe anyone would chuck things away and think the rubbish fairy is going to pop along and clean up. There must have been at least 10 carrier bags 5 rags and a puddle full of about 20 sugar sachets ! summit needs to be done but can't think what would help, but that another subject.....................

I've mentioned this before George ,maybe the Howick estate will ban fishing in the area or have wardens issueing fines

thats the only way i can see of the place been kept clean but it means another place lost to the anglers who do claen up after themselves

I'm sick of picking up other peoples rubbish at Cullernose, so I just don't go any more.

Hi George,

Fished Howdiemont Sunday and it was the same...Newspaper left from being wrapped around bait and empty placcy bags!
Not locals!!!!

What about giving ASBO's to the anglers who leave waste, dig worms in the wrong place and are a general nuisance, preventing them from spoiling our beauty spots!

Theres no excuse for it, This happens time and time again it not as if we have the weekend chavs up here this is people travelling to fish this area. Dunstanbrugh castle is I think the worse its ever been can,t see English heritage putting up with that for much longer.

Now thats of me chest I can plan me next outing Maybes the end of roker pier !!!!
