After the brilliant video taken by Kevin, it seems there is more fish interest around the weight than around the hooks or trace

I think I'll launch a new style of weight moulds .... cut out the middle man and dont use (or buy) a trace ... cant wait to try em

I've made a load of 10oz super leadheads on a similar idea , never used them yet but look the part . Was going to paint them luminous and orange but the video may change that .

last week I dropped down a flowing trace with a shad on and was hit by a Mackie on the way down, but when I brought it up the fish had swallowed the 6oz weight and it was hanging out of it's gill. never touched the lure. So I think that they will work. I've had good results by adding a smaller spinner type lure below the jigger with a split ring. Might be worth trying one of your new ones like that, you never know.

most of my best fish this year have been on a pirk with a smaller lure attached below it. Something gets them interested, also I don't work the pirk too hard but twitch it just off the bottom. Has anybody else tried it yet? I wonder if your new type lure would be effective like this.
