Going pathos in Cyprus in the summer anybody fished from the shore

Didn't do any fishing when I was in Paphos but did see a bloke catch a seagull. Yep, actually caught it.
There was a charter boat working out of Paphos that looked like an Interceptor 42, bit expensive for my liking so I didn't bother. Something like 35 Euros for 4 hours. Hmmm, not when I can get 8 hrs for £35 out of Hartlepool.
Maybe I'm just a tightarse though.
