reminds me of being young, listerning to him on radio 1 many many moons ago..........................does any one remember when he used to do the storys, especially laura\'s first love??? i remember at the time the building site i used to work on nearly ground to a halt when it was on, also the same thing used to happen when simon bates played \' our tune\'

used to work with a load of lads that always had it on.
we sent one in and it got played.
along the lines of girly girl, fiance gets injured, has one leg removed but got infected, had the other leg removed around the same time her mum died, he then discoverd he had cancer, wasn\'t given long to liv, brough the wedding forward, but not forward enough, as he turned his toes 2 days before the nuptials etc
and could you play our tune.....
at this point we had to think of something that radio one would play, I fancied \"animal, fuck like a beast\" by WASP, but thought that would never get past Radio 1, so decided on \"phsycotherapy\" by the ramones, with th explanantion that they\'d met a ramones gig and he\'d dragged her out of the mosh pit!
to this day if I ever hear the \'our tune\' theme I wan\'t vomit my intestines out

Phoned James Whale *spits* when he was on NE radio. Had an anti-royal rant prepared I was only a wee boy of 14/15 at the time. All me pals were in the kitchen listening. He completely humilated me! Wonderful experience. What\'s worse is the bearded Nazi followed me down south to LBC. James Whale and Fred Housego on my once favourite shite radio chat station.
Radio 4 or Westwood for me. Westwood cracks me up.
