Delivery date delay!!!

After ringing the dealer yesterday to firm up the delivery date it was bad news.
He now expects to take delivery of the boat in/around the second week of march! I am gutted as I am off back to work(luckily only for three and a half weeks!) on the fourth! There is at least a weeks worth if work he has to do as well before we take delivery up here.
The Mrs says I should grow up as I sat and sulked watching sky sports on the setee all afternoon after I had found out.
I was like a kid in a sweet shop and bouncing around before the phonecall and all geared up for the first and delivery date!
On the bright side it gives us more time to make sinkers and pirks!
I just hope the date does not slip again!
Maybe a bit of shore fishing with the kids at the fish quay on Sunday!

Aye Graham , mine was a couple of months late , but it was mid winter so I wasn't too bothered, she'll be here soon enough and forming an orderly que at a wreck somewhere off the tyne before you know it :D

Have you got a new name for her, or is it still Growler

Hairy Growler?...lol had me chuckling when i thought

im like you graham...been after something for ages...went to buy it and boom...wife his me with a stupid sneaky bill i knew nothing about so my shootings on hold till i re-save again!

asnd when i do buy it...if its late i'll drive down and drag it up myself lol

It still leaves a bit of a bitter taste as the boat has been on order with a sizeable depsit paid since bloody September! Never mind!
We are not sure regarding the name Arthur, I am fancying Big Growler whilst Micky wants a return to our first boats name, The Cowpen Queen. We just need a boat first to name!
Have you ventured out again recently Ray?

Graham.

That’s bad news Graham, like finding Christmas has been cancelled just when it was getting close. I hope it arrives in time before the season gets into full swing. If not, I’m sure someone will offer you a trip out until it arrives.

I haven't been out Graham, you're not missing much , the weather isn't exactly great for taking a boat out fishing , I've decided my season starts now, but the next week is forcast for 20mph winds every day so I guess it will be at least the week after before I get out, it's just a case of watching the weather for an opening, as ever I suppose. Where are you, at work or home?

I should be quite lucky Kevin as I get home on the 28th of March so fingers crossed will be straight into the fishing and Micky will have all the teething problems ironed out! There is even a bit if leeway in the new proposed delivery date so maybe we can have it delivered on the 29th of March which woul suit me better! :):)I keep telling myself it will be year round fishing with the new boat and it's enclosed wheelhouse so not to get too upset about the delay!

I am home at the minute Ray until the 4th of March.

Graham.
