Derwent Resevoir today.

Went up 2 30 pm today (Sunday). Took my little 9 year old lad. Car parked in Pow Hill and short walk to the rock edge. Fished using power bait on one rod and worm on the other.
Had no luck. Tried with spinner,fly rod,floating. At 6 30 pm had enough.
Not even a bite.(again).

There was fish caught by some other folk on thr bank but earlier in the day.

i was there sunday morning 8 till 2 fishing the fly same here not a touch gave up and retired to the boozer.

Someone told me a guy had caught fish on a white fly ?.

I put a white lead head on. This caught in the rocks behind me and i lost the lure and trace.

Capped the day off.

we where there on sat?only got 2 small fish,on worm nout on power bait,got worms from shop there was not many in tub,we fished down past the ramps over the gate where fence runs into water,seen 2 lads along from us every cast fish lol,we had no worm at this point,only power bait used them little red balls and the yellow stuff no joy had ago with sweet corn to lol ducks had more fun

Been up quite a few times this year and had nowt every time, not even a missed bite. The wife on the other hand has had a brownie each time she's been with me.

And yes, I too noticed the last time we bought worms up there there was hardly any in the tub, had to nip back for another tub, bah!!

i it was me 2nd time there,1st time i got a small fish my mate got 2 canny size trout ,and my lass got a trout lol,we aways fish up at Waskerley Reservoir, Consett next time we going to try Grassholme
