Well lads i was bored stupid yesterday so today thought i,d give the resevoir a look.
Got there about 11:30 am. Tried at Powhill. Ledgered on the bottom with worm and power bait. Nowt doing for an hour. One of the lads near me had gone for a walk around the point with his spinning gear. He came back and said there was loads of small brown trout chasing the fry. Gear packed up and off i went.
I set up the fly rod and put a black fly on and a Dawsons lure. Actually hit a nice fish but the trace snapped and it was off.Tried spinning but no good.
Ended up back at Pow Hill and ten minutes before i was going home i caught a nice Rainbow ledgering with power bait. Ten minutes later another both about pound and half each. Also caught a small brownie.
I lost another couple but i enjoyed my day.
The Hollandise sauce is ready for the fish for our tea on Wed. :)
